ALASKA FISHING LODGE
Kick back and relax with friends at the historic McDougall Alaska fishing Lodge after a day of fishing on Lake Creek, Alaska. Situated on the bank of the Yentna River, the lodge features wireless internet, pool table and fly-tying station. Two big-screen televisions with satellite service mean you don’t even have to miss out on your favorite games.
Swap stories with fellow anglers while you enjoy a hearty Alaskan meal in our new dining hall, and while you’re staying at McDougall Lodge, be sure you take advantage of our third story observatory. It’s the perfect place for reading your favorite book or viewing the epic Alaskan wilderness. On a clear day, you can even view the majestic Mt. McKinley, the highest mountain peak in North America.

WINTER ACTIVITIES
Enjoy Alaska’s pristine winter snow at the historic McDougall Lodge. McDougall Lodge is located approximately 65 miles northwest of Anchorage and 50 Iditarod trail miles from the official race restart, so you can enjoy the Last Great Dog Sled Race in person.
Watch as the dog sled teams take off from the ceremonial start of the Iditarod in Anchorage, then fly with Rust’s Flying Service to McDougall Lodge to enjoy several winter activities of your choice. Then relax in front of your favorite movies while the fire crackles in the lodge.
LOCATED AT LAKE CREEK
Lake Creek flows 65 miles from the base of the towering Mt. McKinley to the Yentna River. It’s a clear, gravel-bottom river where all species of Pacific salmon flock to spawn each year. Located approximately 1.5 miles from the mouth of Lake Creek, McDougall Lodge is the ideal location to access the salmon spawns.
Your private Alaskan fishing guide will customize your trip to suit your individual style. Jet sleds allow fishing the lower eight miles of Lake Creek, as well as various other clear-water tributaries of the Yentna River, so you won’t miss any opportunities.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Your cozy, backwoods experience at McDougall Lodge comes with the option of staying in a private room in the lodge or in one of five guest cabins. All accommodations are comfortable and feature new mattresses with warm linens to ensure you enjoy your stay. The cabins offer an additional feature, a breathtaking view of the Yentna River.
After a long, satisfying day on the river, nothing is more refreshing than a hot, relaxing shower. Located near the guest cabins, in the bathhouse, are four large bathrooms, each equipped with a sink and shower. The lodge’s own power plant provides hot and cold running water, as well as electricity. Fresh towels, and other supplies, are replenished daily for your use.
